Chimney Sweeping.

Professional sweep. Clean job. Insurance certificate.

What it is.

A chimney that hasn't been swept in 12+ months is a real fire risk — creosote buildup is the cause of most chimney fires in Ireland. We sweep cleanly, inspect the flue, and leave you with the certificate your insurance asks for.

What it includes.

  • Dust sheets to protect the room
  • Full mechanical sweep of the flue
  • Vacuum-controlled debris extraction
  • Visual inspection of flue lining
  • Smoke test if requested
  • Sweep certificate for insurance

Why it matters.

Reduces fire risk

Creosote buildup is flammable. A clean flue is dramatically less likely to ignite a chimney fire.

Improves draw

A swept flue burns better, smokes less into the room, and uses less fuel. You'll feel the difference.

Required by most insurers

Most home insurance policies require an annual sweep certificate if you have a working fireplace.

FAQs.

Will it make a mess?
No. We use dust sheets and a vacuum-sealed sweep system. Your room will be cleaner when we leave than when we arrived.
How often should it be done?
Once a year for solid fuel (wood, coal). Twice a year if you use the fire heavily. We can advise based on what you burn.
Do I need to be there?
Yes — we need access to the fireplace and someone to confirm the work and accept the certificate.
